Upon successful service subscription, you can manage the Call Filtering Service via SUN Mobile App. Login to the app, choose “My Account”, then “Call Filtering Service” for personalization.

    Q1:Does the Call filtering service require installation of any mobile applications (App)?
    A1:The "Call filtering service" protects you from nuisance calls, and it does not require any additional installation of Apps. Our network system automatically detects, analyzes, and filters incoming calls for you. However, we recommend downloading the SUN Mobile App, logging in, selecting value-added services (VAS), and then choosing the "Call filtering service." Through the App, you can freely modify various options related to the incoming call filtering service, such as the blacklist.
    Q2:Will the contact data be collected? Is it secure?
    A2:The "Call filtering service" does not read any personal address book data to protect the privacy of your information from being compromised.
    Q3:What types of incoming calls can the "Call filtering service" filter?
    A3: The "Call filtering service" has a predefined filtering list to protect you from nuisance calls and prevent local or international phone scams. You can also customize your personal blacklist to block unwanted incoming calls.
    Q4:Can I view the phone numbers on the default filtering list?
    A4: No, you cannot. The default filtering list is stored within the network system and is regularly updated and managed by the service provider.
    Q5:What will appear on my phone screen when a call is blocked?
    A5:Your phone will not ring when a call is blocked.
    Q6:Can it filter anonymous calls without caller ID?
    A6:By enabling the "Filter Anonymous Calls" feature, you can reject receiving anonymous calls. If the caller does not display their phone number, your phone will not even ring, and the system will send a message to the caller indicating that anonymous calls are not accepted.
    Q7:Can the "Call filtering service" work when roaming in other countries?
    A7:If you have activated roaming service, the “Call filtering service” will function normally.
    Q8:What is the maximum number of customized personal blacklist phone numbers can be set and saved?
    A8:You can set and save up to a maximum of 200 customized personal blacklist phone numbers.
    Q9:With the "Overseas Calls Alert Service," what prompt/alert will my phone receive?
    A9:Once you enable this feature, every time you answer an overseas call, you will hear a system voice prompt/alert saying, "Friendly reminder: Please be aware this is an overseas call."
    Q10:What is the difference between the "Overseas Calls Filtering Service" and the "Suspected Overseas Call Filtering Service"?
    A10:The "Overseas Calls Filtering" feature allows you to block all calls from regions outside of Hong Kong. On the other hand, the "Suspicious Overseas Calls Filtering" feature allows you to block all suspicious overseas calls.

    Q11:Where can I set up the "Personal Blacklist" and how do I do it?
    A11:To add a phone number to the “blacklist", simply press the "" button on the right side of the "Personal Blacklist" section.
    Q12:Can I view the call records that have been filtered?
    A12:Yes, you can. By pressing the "" button on the right side of the call filtering section, you can view the call records that have been filtered for the past thirty days.
    Q13:What operating systems does the "incoming call filtering service" support?
    A13:It supports most smartphones and devices, including: smartphones (iOS and Android) and non-smartphones (users can personalize settings through the SUN Mobile website and USSD).
    Q14:Can calls from public paid phone or Private Automatic Branch Exchange (PABX) be intercepted/blocked?
    A14:No, those calls will still be connected.
    Q15:If you switch to another mobile device, do you need to reconfigure the phone list for the "incoming call filtering service"?
    A15:All personal settings will be sync-to-the-cloud. Even if you frequently switch devices, there is no need to readjust the settings.

    Call Filtering and Overseas Call Alert Service Terms & Conditions
    1. Service details:
    a. By using Call Filtering and Overseas Call Alert Service ("the Service"), you confirm to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
    b. The Service comprises of four major features
    • i. Spam Call Filtering Service
    • ii. Overseas Call Filtering Service
    • iii. Suspected Overseas Call Filtering Service
    • iv. Incoming Overseas Call Alert Service
    c. You may subscribe to the Service:
    • i. on a monthly basis; or
    • ii. for a Minimum Commitment Period of 12 months. If you terminate the Service prior to the expiry of the Minimum Commitment Period, you must pay the early termination charge to Sun Mobile Limited (“the Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”) immediately. It is the sum of the monthly fee of the Service for the remaining months of the Minimum Commitment Period.
    2. The Spam Call Filtering Service:
    a. The Spam Call Filtering Service is automatically turned on upon your subscription to the Service. You can turn off Spam Call Filtering Service anytime.
    b. When the Spam Call Filtering Service is turned on, you agree the Company to block all those numbers on the spam call list which is defined by the Company’s call filtering platform and third parties’ intelligence and may be updated or changed from time to time without prior notice. We are not responsible or liable for the quality, nature, accuracy and usefulness of the Service.
    c. Out of area calls, calls originating from public paid phone and Private Automatic Branch Exchange (PABX) cannot be blocked by the Service.
    d. Long distance calls, cannot be blocked by the Service, except you have turned on the Overseas Call Filtering Service and the Suspected Overseas Call Filtering Service.
    e. Unless you have turned on the Overseas Call Filtering Service and Suspected Overseas Call Filtering Service, the Service can accept eight-digit Hong Kong phone numbers only. You can add the number to your personal blacklist (maximum of 200 entries).
    f. After subscribing to the Service, you can submit numbers to be included in the spam call list and you agree to grant us the right to:
    • i. Share the call numbers submitted by you with third parties for verification at their intelligence;
    • ii. to add or delete the call numbers submitted by you to or from the spam call list at any time, without notice for any reason whatsoever;
    • iii. share the spam call numbers to all the subscribers of the Service.
    g. The Company is not responsible of any disputes between you and the owner of phone numbers in the spam call list that are submitted by you.
    3. The Overseas Call Filtering Service:
    a. When the Overseas Call Filtering Service is turned on, you agree the Company to block all calls originating outside Hong Kong with a “+” sign in the caller identity display.
    4. The Suspected Overseas Call Filtering Service:
    a. The Suspected Overseas Call Filtering Service is automatically turned upon your subscription to the Service. You can turn off Overseas Call Filtering Service anytime.
    b. When the Suspected Overseas Call Filtering Service is turned on, you agree the Company to block all calls originating from certain countries. The list of suspected overseas calls may be updated from time to time, for details, please see https://www.sunmobile.com.hk/eng/app/Call_Filtering/.
    5. Incoming Overseas Call Alert Service:
    a. The Incoming Overseas Call Alert Service is automatically turned upon your subscription to the Service. You can turn off Incoming Overseas Call Alert Service anytime.
    b. When the Incoming Overseas Call Alert Service is turned on, you will hear a pre-recorded messages when you receive any originating outside Hong Kong with a “+” sign in the caller identity display.
    6. We reserve the right to modify or cancel the Service (or any part thereof) and/or any features of the Service at any time without notice. You agree that we will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification or cessation of the Service and/or its features.
    7. We make no warranty that:
    a. The Service will meet your requirements
    b. The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free
    c. The results or information that may be obtained from use of the Service will be accurate or reliable
    d. The quality of any services, information or other material obtained by you through the Service will meet your expectations
    8. You expressly understand and agree that your use of the Service is at your sole risk, and the Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, and we expressly make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We accept no responsibility for the timeliness, deletion, mis-delivery or failure to store any user communications or personalization settings, or for any damage to your mobile equipment, or loss of data that results from downloading any materials, data or information. You expressly relieve us of any and all liabilities arising from access to, or use of, the Service (or any part thereof).
    9. The Service is also subject to the Terms & Conditions of the Mobile Service Agreement and the Terms & Conditions as dictated by any third-party supplier, as may be amended periodically. In the event of inconsistency between these Terms & Conditions and the Mobile Service Agreement, these Terms & Conditions shall prevail.
    10. We reserve the right to change these Terms & Conditions at any time without notice. All matters and disputes will be subject to our final determination.
